Coaching or Counselling - What is the difference? & Which approach is suitable for you?

Coaching and counselling are both supportive practices that help individuals grow and overcome challenges but they differ in focus and approach. Counselling typically looks in depth at past experiences, emotional patterns, and inner healing, often addressing issues such as anxiety, burnout, or relationship struggles.

Coaching, on the other hand, is more future-focused and action-oriented — it helps you set goals, build confidence, and move forward with clarity and purpose.

While counselling is often insight-driven and reflective, coaching is usually more practical and solution-focused.

I am professionally trained and qualified in both counselling and coaching, which allows me to adapt my approach based on your needs. In some cases, a blend of both may be most helpful — for example, gently processing emotional wounds while also building a stronger, more empowered future. If you're not sure which path is right for you, don't worry because we can discuss and explore this together.
